Metallic Nanomaterials with Biomedical Applications
نویسندگان
چکیده
Metallic nanomaterials have attracted extensive attention in various fields due to their photocatalytic, photosensitive, thermal conducting, electrical conducting and semiconducting properties. Among all these fields, metallic are of particular importance biomedical sensing for the detection different analytes, such as proteins, toxins, metal ions, nucleotides, anions saccharides. However, many problems remain be solved, synthesis method modification target nanoparticles, inadequate sensitivity stability biological toxicity brought by nanomaterials. Thus, this Special Issue aims collect research or review articles focused on electrochemical biosensing, nanomaterial-based sensors biosensors, oxide-modified electrodes, based nanomaterials, devices chemometrics sensing. Meanwhile, studies related characterization also welcome, both experimental theoretical welcome contribution well.

Since their discovery in 1985, fullerenes have been investigated extensively due to their unique physical and chemical properties. In recent years, studies on functionalized fullerenes for various applications in the field of biomedical sciences have seen a significant increase. The ultimate goal is towards employing these functionalized fullerenes in the diagnosis and therapy of human diseases...
متن کاملStimuli-Responsive Nanomaterials for Biomedical Applications
Nature employs a variety of tactics to precisely time and execute the processes and mechanics of life, relying on sequential sense and response cascades to transduce signaling events over multiple length and time scales. Many of these tactics, such as the activation of a zymogen, involve the direct manipulation of a material by a stimulus. Similarly, effective therapeutics and diagnostics requi...
متن کاملOrganic Nanomaterials with Two-Photon Absorption Properties for Biomedical Applications
During recent years there have been notorious advances in the development of organic molecules and π-conjugated polymers with two-photon activity, i.e., emission of fluorescence promoted by the molecular absorption of two photons. Novel organic materials have reached very large two-photon activity, and many of them have been processed successfully into nanostructured platforms. In contrast to t...
متن کاملPeptides and metallic nanoparticles for biomedical applications.
In this review, we describe the contribution of peptides to the biomedical applications of metallic nanoparticles. We also discuss strategies for the preparation of peptide-nanoparticle conjugates and the synthesis of the peptides and metallic nanoparticles. An overview of the techniques used for the characterization of the conjugates is also provided. Mainly for biomedical purposes, metallic n...
